Came in around 6:30am on a saturday, no problems parking at the free parking lot and no crowd at all. Immediately able to order and get the order Food was great, got the original and li hing (dried salted plums) for the regular malasadas. And also got the malasadas with filling, had a custard, macadamia, dobash (chocolate almost tablea like), haupia (coconut), guava, and lilikoi passion fruit since i had to try all the different flavors available. Lastly, also tried their ube butter mochi squares Service was solid, no complaints Atmosphere was solid too, the place was pleasant and clean.

Leonard’s Bakery absolutely lives up to the hype. If you’re visiting Oahu, this is one of those places you have to experience at least once. The malasadas are served warm, fresh, and perfectly coated in sugar, with a light, fluffy texture that makes it hard to stop at just one. The service was quick, the prices were reasonable, and the quality was outstanding. We can see why this place has been a local favorite for generations. Leonard’s has officially become one of our must-stop breakfast traditions whenever we’re in Honolulu.

Leonard's Bakery was a great experience, and I would definitely recommend stopping by if you're visiting Honolulu. One of the first things I noticed was how friendly the staff was. The ordering process was well organized, the bakery was clean, and the overall atmosphere was welcoming. After placing your order, you simply wait outside for your name to be called, which kept everything moving smoothly despite the crowd. As for the malasadas, the bread itself was absolutely delicious—fresh, soft, and worth the visit on its own. While I wasn't a big fan of the filling, I think that came down to personal taste rather than the quality of the product. I actually ended up eating the bread and leaving the filling behind because the dough was that good. If it's your first time visiting, I'd recommend trying both a filled malasada and a traditional non-filled one to see which you prefer. Next time, I'll definitely be ordering the non-filled version. Overall, Leonard's Bakery offers great service, a well-run operation, and delicious malasadas. I would happily return and look forward to trying more flavors in the future.

Super crowded, but staff was organized and was able to move us through the line of folks efficiently. We ordered one of each of the stuffed malasadas. So we were able to try each of the standard stuff malasada flavors + the daily special flavor, which appeared to be chocolate. To us, the malasadas were pretty good with a good amount of filling, but maybe a little oily. Next time, we'll try the non-stuffed versions.

Absolutely fantastic malasadas that.... dare I say... are among the best filled donuts I've had? They're fried fresh when you prefer which makes sense considering the line of people always waiting. The dough is not the type of super light, wonderbread level airy, but it has an awesome level of chew that contrasts with the crispy exterior. Neither the filling nor the dough itself is overly sweet and that's just plain awesome. One thing is that I would recommend most of the other fillings other than chocolate. The chocolate one is similar to a Jell-O chocolate pudding and isn't for everyone. Macadamia nut filling takes the win for me.
