Liliha Bakery is such a cool spot. You can feel the history in here. From the wood siding to the cafe bar. Even the servers make you feel like you are at home. The food is amazing. The menu isn’t extensive which is a great thing and you really can’t go wrong with anything. Their complimentary little French butter bread bites with the guava syrup jelly are amazing. The bakery on the left side of the establishment is on another level. Good luck choosing what you want to take home. Their pastries and breads or donuts are all amazing. I personally love their cinnamon butter mochi. I think it’s the best mochi on the island.
If you have a chance to visit Liliha Bakery, do so! You won't regret it! Great food, great service, and all wrapped in that diner-lik setting. I had the ox tail soup with a side a bacon(because why not! Lol) and the entire meal was delicious! And being able to watch them cook your meal added to the entire experience!
Please do not come here. Bad food with decent service. I do not know how this restaurant has so many positive reviews. Ordered a loco moco and ultimate berries & nuts, both of which are “Liliha’s best sellers.” The best part of the meal was the butter roll. It was soft and warm. It’s also the ONLY reason I am rating the food a 2/5. The Loco moco is nasty. Overcooked meat with overly salted sauce. The meat is tough, dry and rubbery. Nothing about it was fresh except the egg. I could not finish it despite hating to waste food. The ultimate berries and nuts pancakes were also horrible. There is no redeeming qualities about it. Over cooked pancakes on one side making it bitter and hard to cut, smallest serving of fresh fruits which were not even fresh, syrup that is just sugary water, and overly salted butter. The “ultimate” berries and nuts adds 2.5 strawberries and 5 blueberries with one macadamia nut for $4 more than a regular short stack. The berries are not ripe. Also how is “mixed nuts” just one macadamia nut but thinly sliced? There is so much good food nearby that I STRONGLY cannot recommend this restaurant . This is the only place I had a bad loco moco. If you crave pancakes, I am not kidding when i say ihop makes it better. I believe the only people going here are large groups or people that have not tried other restaurants. Our server, Dre, was nice and attentive. But please do not go here if you want good food. Much better and cheaper food nearby.
Honestly, just amazing.. The original one and the best. Classic island style diner experience. All the classics - Hawaiian sweet bread French toast slabs, Mac-nut waffle, loco moco.. Flame grilled Cheeseburger deluxe so good too.. Can’t really go wrong.. The old ladies aren’t up for talking much but they sure do a great job. ❤️
Reviews showed higher for good reason. We found a seat at the diner counter, as there are no tables. My wife and I enjoyed perhaps the best Mahi Mahi sandwich we've ever had. Fish was perfectly grilled, sandwich stuffed with lettuce, sprouts, tomatoes, great sauce with pickles on the side. Almost melted in my mouth. Also got the chicken teriyaki sticks. They were also excellent.
