Our guide was very patient and friendly. Unfortunately, the organization of the tour was extremely poor. There were no clear signs or instructions and upon arriving in Pompeii, we had to wait over half an hour in the middle of a busy passageway lined with restaurants before the tour began. A well-visible meeting point with separate rows for different language translations (English, French, etc.) would have been much more efficient. We booked the complete package, which included Pompeii, Mount Vesuvius and a restaurant meal. The restaurant experience was horrible. The food was just okay, but they only gave us one Fanta for four people. When we asked for water, they outright refused. We had to buy water seperately. To make matters worse, they even charged us to use the restroom. It felt like they were trying to loot the tourists. As for Mount Vesuvius, I have to say it wasn't worth seeing, in my opinion. You won't see a lot there, and the experience just didn't live up to expectations. The overall organization of the Napoli-Pompeii-Vesuvius Tour needs serious improvement. I can't recommend this company to others until they address these issues.
We were very excited about our Pompeii tour. We showed up 15 minutes early as requested, only to wait for an hour for our tour to start. Our tour guide showed up late and in a bad mood. She gave a monotone tour with basic facts about the city. We had to ask to even find out anything about the excavation and discovery of the city. We were looking forward to seeing all the preserved people, but when we asked the tour guide why there was only one, she said there are many but we didn't have time to look at any of them... Save your money and look around yourself. It'll save you some money and you'll have a better time!
Went on the tour by bus to Pompeii today. Everything went smoothly. Our guided tour was in English and our tour guide, Francesca, was fantastic! I feel bad for not giving her a huge tip especially after she asked about my photography business (this is WS, Francesca). But I am used to tours where they have a hat or something for tips. Apologies... Here's how it went... As I was advised to do after purchasing my ticket, I had my hotel call the tour service to confirm the pickup point, which was less than a 5 minute walk from my hotel. I was picked up at the hotel at exactly the pickup time stated. We transferred to a large tour bus at the bus station. It was a 3-5 minute wait. Then we drove to Pompeii. The bus parked in a parking lot and then we walked a short distance to the entrance. As the hosts got everyone's tickets, we had about 15 minutes to use the restroom and shop or eat at the little restaurants there. Our tour guide gave us all a receiver and earphone so we could hear her talk then we walked in. We spent about 2 hours walking around the best areas of the ruins while our guide helped us understand what we were seeing. Lots of good insights! Appreciated! And plenty of time for photographs, especially at the best locations! At the end of the tour, our group split up, as some continued on to Mount Vesuvius. The rest of us had about 20-25 minutes to relax, eat, get something to drink, etc then private vans arrived to drive us back. Important to note that the pickup is according to the pickup point, not necessarily your hotel. For example, I was picked up at Palazzo Turcino Hotel, so that's what I listened for when they called out. Excellent experience, well organized. I'm sure things can and do go wrong sometimes but this was very professional. Definitely recommend a tour guide for Pompeii!
Maria great and cute guide, very pacient and friendly. Unfortunately the organization could be improved. Pick up on time and timetable was respected. Tha lunch was approsimate, only one pizza margherita and one drink, so you have not choice neither a coffee or extra water at the end. Unfortunately they book the tickets to visit Vesuvio mount with a different entrance time, so while the other member of the grouo could start the visit me, my wife and my son of 2.5 years have to wait 40 minutes before entering. No water was offered considering thewaiting time and the 37 grades of temperature...finally they ask to make short our visit to be in time with the others.. I do not have any suggestion for other company but definetely the Napoli.Pompei-Vesuvio Tour could be improved in organization.
Our tour guide Alex Scellok was just amazing! Alex met us at the port of Sorrento and was very friendly and enthusiastic. We only had six hours to visit the towns and ports of the Amalfi coast and the many other beautiful locations, but Alex and his driver, Enrico Di Biase, made sure to get as much as possible accomplished during our day tour including a beautiful lunch with a view of the amazing Amalfi coast including a stop at the beautiful Piccadilly Ceramiche factory and most importantly a visit with a Limoncello producer for tastings and purchases. Excellent and well-informed tour and visit of the Amalfi coast - many great memories and pictures. Thank you, Alex and Enrico, for the tour, the legends, the pictures, and the singing!
