Overall I'm pretty disappointed with this company, the owner and his son are A+ it's just everyone else in-between at the office is where it seems like everything gets lost in the sauce. I've had a few outstanding experiences with this company and one dishonest technician who did a half ass job and tried to bill work not performed, his son came to my house on his birthday to personally handle the job and make it right I respect that and he has my loyalty. But the office staff promises timely correspondence and information and they always falter, they lack integrity and require consistent follow ups where you get to sit on hold. I regret hiring them to replace my old system, service sure they have some good guys but not enough to salvage the experience. Once the installation is completed and operational I'll provide an update.
Rutan is one of the contractors that American Homeshield selects to work on my AC. They do such an OUTSTANDING JOB that I only request for them to work on my AC instead of randomly selecting contractors. I've also called them directly to work on my AC, and they've definitely addressed all my AC issues that need to be fixed. I'd recommend them to anyone having AC issues.
We have called Rutan twice to deal with our two Split AC units that were aging out and failing. Both times the Rutan technicians were fast and efficient, diagnosed the problem quickly, and offered us alternatives with pros and cons to get our system back up and running. Sweet Pea, from the Rutan O'ahu office, made sure we knew when the parts arrived and helped us set up the best installation time. Despite torrential rain, the technicians covered their work area with a tent and cheerfully serviced the unit. The whole team was fantastic and the prices were better than other estimates. Absolutely recommend Rutan O'ahu!

Troy and his team took great care to protect our space from spills and debris, and thoroughly cleaned up after removing the old unit.
