Very frustrating experience today. Home Depot had an entire display (actually three full racks) of LeafJoy water-propagated plants with a large sign advertising 50% off LeafJoy spring holiday items. Every plant on those racks was the same LeafJoy brand, so naturally we assumed the plants displayed with the sign were included. At checkout, every plant rang up full price. We asked an associate, who said the SKUs didn’t match exactly and told us there wasn’t anything she could do. We then asked for a manager, who told us they were vendor-owned plants, Home Depot didn’t own them, and they couldn’t honor the sale. We were basically told that customers are expected to inspect the SKU on every individual plant to determine whether it’s actually on sale. That’s not a reasonable expectation. If hundreds of plants are displayed together under a sale sign, customers should be able to trust that the display is accurate. If only certain SKUs qualify, they should be clearly separated or labeled to avoid misleading shoppers. I don’t blame the employees….they were dealing with a confusing situation—but Home Depot and the vendor need to do a much better job of keeping sale displays accurate. It wasted our time and left us walking away without buying anything.

Best Home Depot I’ve ever shopped from. Hands down the best service in the world. Jordan the Operations Manager & Charissa at the Pro Desk are experts in their field and honestly without them, my project would not have been able to be completed. Definitely will be making this my “Home” Home Depot! #NLCC #HomeDepotKeller #BestExperienceEver

I recently completed a small project using Home Depot services, and unfortunately, the experience fell well short of expectations, especially from a customer service standpoint. After my initial measurement, it took nearly two weeks of trying to communicate, schedule, and make payment, with zero proactive follow-up. I ultimately had to go into the store myself just to move things forward. While the installers themselves were solid, the process leading up to installation was disorganized. They arrived with gray grout, despite the fact that grout color was never discussed at any point during scheduling. This forced me to make a rushed decision on-site and drive back to the store mid-installation to get the correct grout. The return process was equally disappointing. Both the cashier and manager lacked a customer-focused approach and showed little interest in helping resolve the issue. Because two tiles were missing from a box, I was only offered store credit instead of a refund, due to it being sold as a full box, despite the broader context. Having spent 25 years in retail management, I can confidently say the service model here feels outdated and not aligned with what customers expect today. There’s a clear gap in communication, ownership, and overall customer experience. I have several larger home projects planned over the next 12 months, and I’m genuinely glad I discovered these challenges on a smaller job first as Home Depot will not be one of the companies in my decision making process.

I like Home Depot overall and can usually find everything I need. However, the Garden Center could use some improvement. The staff in that section often seem unfamiliar with the products and aren’t able to answer basic gardening questions. The Keller location is an exception—the garden department there is excellent, well-organized, and staffed by knowledgeable people. I hope other locations can match that level of service and expertise.

Aldera is super AWESOME! She helped my wife and I pick out some items in the garden center. She took the time to explain what the differences were between the trees we were looking at, and the plants we were looking at and what the best soil would be to use. She then helped us out after we paid for them, wrapped the tree up and lifted it into our Armada and carefully placed the bedding plants and other items we bought into our car. she made sure we understood what she was talking about. Asked if we have any more questions and made sure we were more than happy. she is the best of the best and super awesome. You all are sure lucky to have her as an employee.
