I am writing this with a heavy heart and deep indignation. My partner and I are international students currently living and studying in Italy. We chose this country because we love its culture and its people. In our daily lives here, we always strive to be respectful, polite, and law-abiding residents. However, the treatment I received from your staff at the Piazza della Pace ticket office in Anacapri on April 7th has left me profoundly traumatized. The Incident and Physical Assault: Due to misleading guidance, I was charged 50 Euros for a ticket I did not need. When I tried to resolve the issue and politely spoke to other tourists to see if they could use the ticket, a male staff member responded with unprovoked aggression. He forcefully used his elbow to violently shove me out of the premises. As a female student, being physically assaulted by a grown man in public was terrifying. The Humiliation and Psychological Impact: What was even more "disgusting" and cruel was the reaction of the other staff members. Instead of helping, they stood inside cackling and sneering at me (mocking me) while I was being physically pushed. This collective bullying and the cold, mocking laughter have caused me severe emotional distress. I have been unable to sleep since the incident because of the sheer humiliation and the feeling of being dehumanized. Allegation of Racial Discrimination: As someone who loves Italy, I am forced to ask: Why was I treated with such violence and mockery? I cannot help but feel this was a case of racial discrimination targeting an Asian female. Would your staff ever dare to physically shove and laugh at a local Italian student in the same manner?

Let's forget it... I had some problems with their tickets at restaurants they chose... and they practically washed their hands of it, saying that if they wanted we could go to the headquarters for two more free tickets... but we're afraid of another scam so never again.
