We took our 2 dogs to Vet Villa for over 3 years for both routine and acute medical issues. So I can speak extensively to the quality of care provided over time. Some of the vets are good, others not so much. We finally decided to switch to a new practice after experiencing enough errors and lapses in care to realize our dogs are not safe receiving care at Vet Villa. I strongly recommend avoiding Vet Villa. 1) Vet Villa prescribed Carprofen flavored tablets to our dog for a painful condition. We were not instructed to keep the bottle far out of reach. The dog found the pill bottle, chewed through the plastic, ate all the pills and suffered an accidental overdose. This led to 2 emergency vet visits, gastrointestinal toxicity that kept us up all night for 5 nights, and large out of pocket costs. But we are glad our dog is still alive. The emergency vet told us they always counsel pet parents to keep this medication bottle far away from the pet, and that they have seen multiple similar overdoses. Vet Villa did not acknowledge my feedback to change their counseling practices to prevent this from happening to others in the future. 2) A skin biopsy was performed in a completely inappropriate fashion by a veterinarian who acted as if she had never evaluated a skin lesion before. I can speak to this because I am a practicing dermatologist. The vet's approach as she examined reminded me of a first year medical student evaluating a condition for the first time. I did not contradict the vet's recommendation and gave it a chance. After all, I am a human doctor, what do I know about veterinary care. As expected, the results returned inconclusive due to the incorrect sampling method. The out of pocket cost was significant. 3) Bloodwork was lost and had to be re-drawn -- no explanation for why it was lost. 4) The practice's own pharmacy does not share prescription records with the office. I was asked in a very accusatory way to provide proof of a prescription that had been continuously refilled by Vet Villa using their own pharmacy for several years.

I visited Vet Villa on April 6th after my husky mix Logan’s eyes got sprayed by a skunk . It was my first time at Vet Villa and I chose to go there because they happened to have an opening for same day appointment. Dr. G conducted thorough eye exams and evaluated Logan. At the time she said Logan’s eyes suffered trauma from skunk spray so she prescribed antibiotics eye drop and ointment for dry eyes since she said Logan’s tear production was about half of normal dogs. I paid $458 in total for the visit, exams and medications. I was advised to follow up by end of the month. A week later, seeing no improvement in the eyes I took Logan in to my regular vet and immediately the vet referred us to eye specialist. When Logan met the eye specialist, the vet confirmed his right eye was already blind since it had no reactions to light. Logan had little vision remaining on the left eye. The diagnosis was shocking and unbelievable to us family. We were devastated and heartbroken. It turned out that Logan had inflammations in the eyes and it has lead to glaucoma although he is only 3. I do not understand how these serious underlying issues were not discovered at Logan’s appointment at Vet Villa about a little more than a week ago. God blessed us and Logan’s vision has now recovered after intensive treatment and medications by the eye specialist. However, I would like to leave this honest review for the business owner and Dr. G. You know we pay so much for our dogs to be treated because we trust your knowledge and expertise. However, in my case I felt like I was completely blindsided by the medical opinions and treatments from Dr. G. Logan could have gone blind. I really wanted to give this clinic the benefit of doubt but I just cannot understand how Logan’s high eye pressure and eye inflammations were not diagnosed when he was examined at this clinic.

Everyone at Vet Villa is always so friendly and wonderful with our pup. It is a testament to them that he gets excited to see them! He’s an anxious guy but they’re wonderful with him.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Vet Villa Animal Hospital, and I could not be more impressed with the level of care and professionalism provided by the entire team. As a pet owner, finding a veterinary clinic that genuinely cares about animals and treats them like family is incredibly important, and Vet Villa Animal Hospital exceeded all of my expectations. From the moment I walked through the door, I was greeted by a friendly and welcoming staff who made both me and my pet feel comfortable. The clinic was exceptionally clean, well-organized, and created a calm environment that helped reduce the stress that many pets experience during veterinary visits. The veterinarians and technicians were knowledgeable, compassionate, and patient throughout the entire appointment. They treated my pet with kindness, gentleness, and respect, which immediately put my mind at ease. The level of communication was also excellent. The team kept me informed throughout the visit and made sure I knew exactly what to expect regarding treatment, follow-up care, and future health recommendations. Their transparency and professionalism gave me great confidence in the care my pet was receiving. In addition to the outstanding medical care, I was impressed by the efficiency of the clinic. Scheduling an appointment was easy, wait times were minimal, and the entire process was smooth and well-coordinated. It is evident that the hospital values both the health of its patients and the time of its clients. Overall, my experience at Vet Villa Animal Hospital was exceptional. The combination of expert veterinary care, compassionate staff, excellent communication, and a welcoming atmosphere makes this clinic truly stand out. I highly recommend Vet Villa Animal Hospital to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring veterinary team. Knowing that my pet is in such capable and compassionate hands gives me tremendous peace of mind, and I will absolutely continue bringing my pet here for future care.

I have never had a "good" experience with a vet. I have taken my cats to a few vets, for individual check ups/vaccines, and often my concerns have been dismissed without regard for how much I know my cats — I know when they are acting strange and as a first time cat owner, I want them to live a stress free and healthy life. When we came to the Villa, we were honestly really apprehensive: unfortunately there are mixed reviews online, and as college students, we just don't have unlimited funds. That being said, we are willing to spend what we can to make sure our cats our healthy. The 2 girls at the front desk were quick to get us checked in and answered our questions. The vet tech (?) who we met at the start and end of our visit was a gem. She shared a little about her own cat who struggled with digestive issues and I felt so at ease knowing we were with other cat people (so many vets sadly seem to not take cat symptoms as seriously in my experience). Then we met the vet. She was FANTASTIC. Addressed all of our concerns and asked a few extra questions to asses Mothra's health. Determined what was probably the cause and gave us the proper medicine for her so fast. Immediately after the recommended options my fur baby seems more alert and comfortable, playing and eating more on her normal level. Best part is the staff explained WHY each treatment was needed, and DIDN'T FORCE UNNECESSARY X-RAYS. I work at a dental office and I really do understand how important it is for a doctor to have X-rays for many situations, but this vet was so good she was confident in giving as a treatment plan without having to spend hundreds extra, which I just appreciate. We moved to Pasadena not long ago and have found our vet while in the area. Thank you!
